Highly recommend this shop. Lee is & always had been the best mechanic within a 50 mile radius of here.
Upon further investigation, the oil was dirty, the filter was the old one and they had charged us $35. I immediately headed over there but they must close at 4 on Fridays. Over the weekend, I had it changed by a place that really does the work and doesn't lie about it.
$40-50 labor per axil breaks!
It is obvious they did it to take advantage of a female that had toddlers with her. Downtown Automotive is the reason mechanic shops have such a bad stereotypical reputation.
I was under my wife's SUV the other day and noticed how old and filthy the oil filter was. I said, "Wow, honey, you need to get the oil changed tomorrow."
I highly recommend this place! I stopped by after hours and Lee was nice enough to still fix up my car and get me back on the road quickly. Thank you!
