Have dealt with 3Y for several years and overall have not been satisfied.

A year ago December, we took a commercial size walk behind mower in for it's 18 hp engine to be overhauled. We chose winter so they could take their time on it. The charge was $1000. We got it back in January, but did not use it until April. After only 10 hrs. of use it started smoking and spitting oil out the exhaust. When I asked if there was a warranty, the answer was yes. We took it back. We called regularly for a month. They had not even started on it. It was now June. They were busy, and we need our mower. Early July we are told the engine is not worth repairs. It is not warranted over 30 days. That's the thing with overhauls we are told .. sometime they take .. sometimes they don't. We feel cheated. The mechanics are amateurs. Management is not ethical.

Friendly staff. Received great service. Prices are a little more expensive but they do quality work

In my opinion, 3Y mechanics are careless and the shop is not customer friendly.

The repair work is not cheap, but it is excellent. They have always been very fair about whether the equipment was worth the cost of repair. The repairs are performed within a reasonable length of time and as promised.

They know how to fix your lawn and garden equipment.

3. Today I picked up my rider mower, which was being repaired at 3Y. When I got it home I noticed they had forgotten to reinstall one of the flywheel covers on the deck.

1. Had a fuel system problem with a Husqvarna push mower, less that a year old. 3Y said it was because I used gas with ethanol, even though the owner's manual said 10% ethanol gas was ok to use. 3Y also stated the warranty didn't cover the fuel system. Returned the mower less that a year later with the same problem. 3Y did some carburetor work on it. The mower ran well for a short period and now will not start.

2. Had 3Y sharpen 3 chainsaw blades, for which I was charged $28. When I tried each blade on my chainsaw, they were as dull as when I took them to 3Y. I took the blades back to 3Y and talked to the owner. He inspected the blades and said they were not worth sharping. I told him that it should have been mentioned in the first place when I brought the blades in. Only a partial refund was offered.

This was the last straw. Even though it maybe less convenient, I will find a more reliable shop.
