We loved this park! It was off season so there was plenty of parking. Also separate parking for RVs. There was a lodge to stay in with dining and gift shop but we didn't visit that. $6 entrance fee plus we paid $8 x 2 for a three mile river boat cruise that was totally worth it. Viewed manatees, alligators and plenty of birds. Too chilly to swim in the springs but it had plenty of dock area and two small beaches. We definitely will be back.

Beautiful, absolutely wonderful place to experience the real Florida. Trails and a beach; the water is cold, but crystal clear, and wonderfully refreshing on a hot day. We took the boat tour and were amazed at the untouched flora and fauna we got to see: birds, turtles, alligators of all sizes including a nest of baby gators, and manatees that like to show off for the people on the boat. Our tour guide was funny, knowledgeable, and friendly. The only complaint that I have is that I wished for a few minutes of quiet to contemplate and listen to the beauty around us.

The water here is crystal clear, not too deep, and SO relaxing. Don't be surprised to see a manatee (or three) toddling by underwater while you frolic near the shore, or try out the diving platform. There's a lifeguard on the sandy beach nearby, along with ample parking and picnic facilities (grills, covered pavilions, shady trees, open lawn, etc.) just beyond the awesome lodge hotel. Definitely a place worth considering for your next family function, from leisurely weekend swims all the way up through mid-size formal weddings!

The boat rides are wonderful, no matter what time of year you go, it will be a new and unique experience - things change with the seasons. Getting to see manatees is marvelous! The Lodge restaurant has great food and the snack bar has delicious sweet treats. Love this place!

We took the boat tour and I highly recommend it. I was amazed by the untouched beauty of the river, the clear waters, and the abundance of wild life. My favorite was seeing so many big and small alligators both swimming and sitting on the banks of the river. I also enjoyed seeing the many neat species of birds. We also saw turtles and fish. The park ranger gave an excellent tour with lots of interesting facts about the area and wild life. Take the tour, you won't be disappointed!
